The design comes from the binding of Voltaire's Ten Great Online Gambling Platforms, published in 1893. First published in 1747, it tells the story of the ancient Babylonian philosopher Zadeg. The book is a philosophical treatise that has provided thematic inspiration for modern detective fiction, including Edgar Allan POE's C. August Dubin.
